Nuclear Reactors to be build by China in Pakistan

China has agreed to build two new civilian nuclear reactors in Chashma in Pakistan’s Punjab province, the Financial Times reported, citing Chinese companies and unnamed officials in Beijing and Islamabad. Beijing has given formal approval to the deal, the FT said, citing unidentifed diplomats in China. China National Nuclear Corp., in a statement on its Web site, said the Chinese and Pakistan governments had signed an agreement to finance construction of the two new reactors in February.
